Mandatory Coaches Meeting
There is mandatory meeting for managers and coaches before the season starts. Check the Events calendar or look for emails/announcements as to the date, time and location.
Little League requires that all Coaches and assistants complete a volunteer application each year. For returning coaches, use this form, otherwise use this form.
This form must be completed fully (including Social Security Number for new volunteers) and returned to
, Safety Officers, along with a copy of your Rutgers (or equivalent) card and a photo ID (i.e. drivers license).
The volunteer application MUST be completed before you will be allowed to be selected as a manager or a coach. Volunteer applications are due February 5th.

All Coaches and assistants must have completed this course (or an acceptable equivalent) in order to be able to coach.
- Florham Park is hosting a Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic on Tuesday, February 19, 2018 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm (give yourself an extra 10 minutes to register. Late arrivals will not be admitted) at the Florham Park Community Center @ 111 Ridgedale Avenue, Florham Park, NJ 07932.

If you have completed this course for another sport, you do not need to repeat it for HTLL.
All Coaches and assistants are required to have a background check to coach youth sports in Hanover Township. To obtain a background check, contact Tom Quirk, Program Coordinator / Assistant to the Superintendent of the Township of Hanover Recreation Department between the hours 8:30-4:30 M-F at 973 428-2463 or via email at
. He will explain the process for completing the background check.
If you have completed this background check for another sport, you do not need to repeat it for HTLL. If you have completed this background check within the past 2 years, you do not need to repeat it this year. The town will notify coaches directly if/when you need to repeat the background check.
All Coaches and assistants are required to take Concussion Training in order to be able to use Hanover fields.
Click on this link to be taken to the CDC's online training program. Complete the session and print out the certificate. The coach should keep a copy and one should be provided to the Recreation Department.
If you have completed this training for another sport, you do not need to repeat it for HTLL.
All Coaches and assistants are strongly recommended to take CPR Training which is helpful in knowing how to use the defibrillators installed at every field in town. Classes are offered at various times during the year.
