Hanover Township Memorial Day Parade - May 27, 2019 at 9:30 AM
by posted 05/20/2019

Hanover Township Little League:

The annual Hanover Township Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 27th with the parade route running from Whippany Park High School to the American Legion Hall on Legion Place.  Please plan on accompanying your team and participating in this annual Hanover Township tradition honoring those who have made sacrifices for our country.

The line up for the parade will be on East Fairchild Place beginning at 9:00 AMThe parade will begin promptly at 9:30 AM.  Markers will be placed on East Fairchild Place to indicate your position in the parade - HTLL has been assigned #32.  As in the past, the parade will end at the Whippany American Legion followed by a memorial service.  A bus is available to bring participants back to the high school after the services, or parents can pick up their child at the Legion (in which case parents are advised to park at Pine Plaza).  Refreshments will be served after the services.  Coaches - pickup can be a little hectic because of the crowds, so make sure parents know how to find you and their child.

Players must be accompanied by an adult coach.  Coaches - if you are unable to march, please see if another team in your division is marching and if your players can march with them.

It is traditional for marchers to gently toss candy to those watching the parade.  Coaches - please let your League VP know if you will be marching so we can plan for the amount of candy to purchase.  Each player marching should bring a small shopping/grocery bag if they are interested in distributing candy to parade viewers.

Coaches - please make and communicate a plan for the parade to your team in advance.

Thank You,

Your HTLL Board

Registration Tips

Registration Tips

Tip #1
We advise adding both parents/guardians to a player's account (easy to do - just "Add Adult"). Especially if a parent/guardian is volunteering (as a coach, board member, etc.), that parent/guardian should have be listed on the account so they can be identified and listed with the appropriate contact information for the volunteer.

Tip #2
If you want to enter more than one email address (e.g. mom, dad, work, etc.) separate the email addresses with a semi-colon.

example: ; ;
